Note
The DC Controller is the central nervous system for the printing engine. It controls basically everything in the printer and receives the raster data from the video controller. The CX DC controller has been revised several times. Early versions have a daughter board. The DC controller must be matched to the scanner assembly. A resonator or crystal set synchronizes the DC controller with the scanner motor. A variable resistor must also be adjusted to match the DC controller to the particular laser diode installed.
CXD printers use a larger DC controller, as shown in the diagram. The Canon 910P facsimile printer uses a DC controller that is similar in appearance to the CXD DC controller.
